MC Schulman has always had more creative energy than he knows what to do with. Finding expression for that energy is what gives meaning to his life. In the past that energy has been directed at music, wood sculpting, and writing, with the latter now being his main focus. MC was born with the heart of an adventurer which has always drawn him toward epic stories and mythology. Some of his favorite authors are Hemingway, Joyce, Steinbeck, Bradbury, Le Guin, Vonnegut, Pynchon, Robbins, Atwood, Murakami, Franzen, and DeLillo to list just a few. His love of music, and keen interest in history were the main inspirations for On the Wings of Music. He was a regular contributor to the online entertainment blog Skagit Art Music. Not so long ago, MC hosted a writer’s group in the small town where he lives. The regular attendees included a poet, a ranting essayist, an adventure writer who sailed solo most of the way around the world, a memoir author, and a screenplay writer. MC grew up in the Midwest, but currently resides in the Pacific Northwest. During leisure time, he enjoys supporting live music, exploring the mountains, woods, and coastlines around him as well as spending time with his family.
